The Division of Genetic Epidemiology at
the University of Utah performs research which we hope will someday improve
the lives of millions of people who are affected with common diseases each
year. Our goal is to understand and identify the genetic origin of common
diseases. Knowledge about inherited predisposition to diseases will lead to
the ability of health care professionals to treat, and eventually prevent,
these illnesses with greater success. To learn more about our current studies
